Alright. I promised to write a real entry, so here goes. I think I'll start with a little bit of information about myself.

Age: 23

Parents: Mabel and Dave. They're married, though there are times when I think all would be better off if they weren't. But my reasons for this will surely become clear in time, for I am sure that it won't be long before I have to rant about them. I love them both dearly, but there are times...

Siblings: My sister Sherry. She's older than I am, and though our age difference sometimes made us fight when we were younger, we've become much closer now. She lives with her boyfriend/fiance George who I also adore :)

Nieces/Nephews: I have the most amazing niece in the world, Hayley Eleanor Geraldine Carter. She was born on September 20, 2002. I don't get to see her often enough (it never is, right?), but when I do, I love to hold her, dance with her.

Grandparents: My two grandfathers died when I was quite young, though I have a few memories of my grandfather on my mother's side. One of my grandmothers passed, and I miss her terribly. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday, other times like it's been forever. My other grandmother is alive and kickin', and has more of a social life than I do.

What I do: I've graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Arts in World Religions, which basically means that I cannot get a job that is in my field :) I'll soon be starting an office job at a manufacturing company, which I'm not super-excited about, but at least it's a job. More importantly, I'm a writer in my spare time, and I have written a book that I'm still editing before sending it out. Hopefully it'll get published one day.

My friends: I guess I'll just name them, and let you find out about them as we go along. Erica, Andrea, Natalie, JC, Jason, David (my ex), Jimmy, Helen, Mel, Dave (another one; I know a lot of Dave's), Erin and Mike. I hope I haven't forgotten anyone (though none of them will be reading this anyway; the only people I personally know who I do allow to read my online diary are Erica and my sister), but I'm sure they'll pop up in my entries eventually.

Hobbies: I love to read; while I enjoy reading factual literature, I prefer fiction. This is normally in the genre of horror or light fantasy. I am, however, branching out a bit. My other huge hobby is writing, as indicated above. I've loved to write since grade 3, and I wish I could do it as my career, but unfortunately, it's quite difficult to get your name out there. I never had time to write during the semesters while studying, but now that I'll be holding down an office job, I'll have my evenings and weekends to myself. I'm quite disciplined about my writing (though there's always room for improvement), in that I try to write a little bit everyday.

Religion: Being a religion major, I guess I should include this. I am Wiccan, having converted from Protestantism when I was 15. I don't place curses on people, I don't perform sacrifices, and I also don't dance around bonfires in the nude (though some Wiccans do, and that's great, but I prefer not to). I do not belong to a coven of any sort, because I'd prefer to leave the politics out of my religious practice. It would be nice to have a mentor, for it can be annoying to be able to learn only through books and trial and error, but this is the price I pay, and I can live with that. I consider myself to be religiously tolerant, as I hope my readers will be when they read any entries I may write about my religion. But hey, if not, I'm always up for a big debate and some controversy!

How I see myself 10 years from now: Ha! Hell if I know. This is so not like me, to not have a *25* year plan let alone a 10 year one. But that kind of planning hasn't worked for me in the past, and thus I've decided to just let things happen, and not rush into anything.

My love life: What love life? I am sadly (sometimes bitterly) single. No dates, no sex, no nothin'. I've been told that potentials pop up all at once. Well, I'm waiting.

So that's me. Well, not entirely, but I can't very well give you ALL of my information because otherwise, what reason would you have for reading my diary?
